What you can do

  1. Tell an adult you trust what is happening. You can ask for help even if you have already sent an image.
  2. Note the username, platform and time, and keep messages containing pressure or threats. Do not forward intimate images. Ask specialist support or the police how to preserve evidence if the messages also contain intimate images.
  3. Get help to report the contact on the platform and end it.

  • Do not forward private messages, intimate images or explicit screenshots.
  • No app can protect against everything. Do not promise that it can.

For parents

  1. Make clear that your child can get help even if they have broken an agreement.
  2. Ask what happened without pushing for every detail.
  3. Help end contact if needed and find someone you can ask for advice.
