A limited web test

Testing is for trying features and design. Access to a test address does not approve using the apps as a child's only protection. Use fictional names, agreements, messages and profiles, and harmless test images you have permission to use. If you create a test account, use only an email address you control.

Children test with an adult

A parent or guardian should agree the test with the child and help with setup, permissions and results. Do not use private children's messages, intimate images, health information or information about other children. A parent code does not establish legal guardianship. Accepting terms or granting camera access is not consent to all data processing.

Errors and lost data

Testing is voluntary and free. Features may fail, become unavailable, change or be removed. Saved test data may be lost, including after updates, clearing browser data or changing browser, device or app address. Export a copy of anything you want to keep. An installed web app and a browser tab may not have access to the same local data.

Checks are not guarantees

Image analysis and message checks can miss harmful content and flag harmless content. AI Check cannot reliably establish who created a text or image. Profile Check compares public links and your observations; a matching name or alias does not prove identity. Do not use results to make accusations, decisions about others or as the sole basis for an important decision.

Protection stays inside the web app

The web apps do not read your other apps, SMS or social media. App Blocker tests saved rules and manually entered usage; it does not block other apps or the phone. Safe Browser's web test is an approved-text reader, not a full browser controlling every website and video. Sprout-chat checks only text in its own chat and can also make mistakes.

Local storage and server data

Most records stay on the device. Safe Browser rules and Sprout-chat messages use separate server storage when you use their online features. Clearing the browser, removing a shortcut or uninstalling does not automatically delete server data. Read Privacy and Cookies for each feature, its storage and deletion options. Private app data must not be automatically transferred to a new account.

Protect codes and access

Protect the device, browser profile, parent codes, invitation links, recovery keys and downloaded data copies. Share them only with the intended participant or adult. An app's code is separate from a Sprout login. Lost local access or a lost key cannot necessarily be restored.

School and Child phone

School is a separate professional test. Child phone is a web design preview. In this web test they do not give teachers pupils' physical locations, control over Wi-Fi or phone locking. Do not use real pupil information. A later school pilot needs a separate assessment of roles, lawful bases, security and any required data protection impact assessment.

Voluntary testing and responsibility

You choose which features to try and must take account of the stated limitations. Sprout does not guarantee error-free operation or complete protection. This does not release Sprout from liability under applicable law. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights, data protection rights or a right to compensation provided by law.

Stop testing and report a problem

You can stop testing by closing the app. Remove local and any server-held test data separately as described in Privacy. Send the app name, device, browser and steps to info@sprout-guard.com. Use fictional examples in reports. Security issues can be reported to security@nordicdts.com. Sprout is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services in immediate danger.

You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency. The website's cookie notice explains storage; it is not a liability waiver or general consent.

Before testing expands

These test conditions are not legal approval. Before testing with real child or pupil data, specific purposes, lawful bases, retention, processor agreements, any international transfers and relevant risk assessments must be resolved. Privacy identifies unresolved operational details. New features require updated information before use.
