Features
- Check messages and your own replies for threats, harassment, sexual pressure and requests for private information.
- Edit a suggested reply. Replies flagged for threats, harassment or sexual pressure cannot be copied until edited and checked again.
- Sprout-chat uses a limited word list before messages are stored, delivered and displayed. Flagged messages are held back.
- Chat for two participants, with text only. No images, uploads or external AI. It does not read SMS, WhatsApp or Snapchat or open links.
Background and limitations
Check a message for threats, harassment, sexual pressure or requests for private information. Your child can also check their own reply. Suggested replies help them say no or ask for help.
Check message runs on the device and does not save text when reopened. In Sprout-chat, an adult creates the room with a code, shares a one-time invitation and approves the other device.
Sprout-chat is available in the open web test. Chat messages use separate private server storage in Frankfurt. Cleanup runs every hour. The second participant joins through a chat invitation. Checks apply only to this chat. They can miss things or warn incorrectly and are not a guarantee.
How to use the app
- Open Tjek besked, choose Modtaget besked and paste the text into Beskeden du har fået.
- Select Tjek and read what the app finds.
- Write in Dit svar or choose a suggestion. If you have already written a reply, select Brug forslaget to confirm that it can be replaced.
- Edit the reply and select Tjek again. Select Kopiér if the app allows you to.

Review a message
Paste the message your child received. The app looks for signs of threats, harassment, sexual pressure and requests for private information.
Check before copying
If the app detects threats, harassment, sexual pressure or other blocked wording in a reply, copying is stopped. Edit the text and check again. Suggested replies can help your child say no or ask an adult for help.
Web test limits
Check message runs on your device. The text disappears when the page reloads and is not sent to an external AI service. You choose whether to copy a reply. The word list can miss content or misunderstand context. This feature does not read keystrokes or messages in other apps and does not replace the phone’s keyboard.
Sprout-chat (web test)
Sprout-chat is available in the open web test. The test for two participants has text only. A word list automatically checks text before a message is stored, delivered or displayed. Messages with detected content are held back. Checks can fail and are not a guarantee. The chat does not read SMS, WhatsApp or Snapchat or check other apps. The test requires dedicated private storage and hourly cleanup.
